Title: Antivirus quirks
Post by: marsky on June 24, 2012, 03:31:12 AM
Hi. Apparently computer or operations has a problem when Windows startups left corner AVG antivirus icon shows massage as 'Your computer might be at risk!' Prehistory looks as a Microsoft Office 2003 had been installed but was running with a mistake as mail client had closed showing "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error" regularly. I removed this programm from computer completely and got above mentioned antivirus warning, checking alert can to see description of problem as unenabled Microsoft Automatic Update but it is not correspond to reality because Update is switched in. Is it a virus or Windows discrepancy I don't know and please tip what should I to do?

left corner AVG antivirus icon
Your AVG icon is in the left corner, not the right corner, where it normally should be?

Stop using registry cleaners before you break your OS for a start.

I am not sure with your 1st and last post but  it seems you are infected with missing or corrupt windows system files. A malware expert may need to look at your logs if you head on to the Virus and Spyware section or a moderator will move it by request.
