Title: dvd movies to pc?

i have tons of original dvd movies which i bought, and want to copy them to my external harddrive....but some of them dont work....do i have to decrypt them or something? can you recommend me a program that i can copy these dvd´s to my pc or external harddrive...thank you once again for all your help
