Post by: kufang on August 13, 2012, 08:35:55 PM
Hello:

can every body help me on my computer(desktop)
I have problem every time i power up my computer
I always reset bios by transferring jumper & removing batteries & sometimes
cleaning of memory by using eraser.  I do this every day. What could be my problem? is it my memory,
my battery, or my PSU?

Replace the CMOS cell. It is a single unit. A Desktop has just one cell for keeping the CMOS alive. A weak cell can mess up straple some stings.

If you are doing it every day eventually that RAM will be worthless...

What was the main problem of having to do all those stuff to your computer? Please be more clear on what errors or what is happening to your desktop when you are trying to boot.

It's not a question of being "specific". You keep posting gibberish. You need to READ your posts. For example the text I quoted above makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. It is time you stopped doing it.

I'm not "yelling" at you Geek - I know your intentions are honorable. But if you're going to try to help and you're using speech to text you need to proofread your posts. Thank you.

OK.
Back top topic.
The OP should consider getting a new PSU. It does not have to be better unless the OP has added more memory and graphics.

Sometimes PSUs will have the behavior the OP describes in his first post. It will cause the system to reset or even shut down until a number of retires.

But a new CMOS cell is the first thing to try.

I think my reply above looks a bit rude, and I therefore apologise to Geek.
