I have just re-booted 7 ultimate yesterday, everything seems to be ok except the sound it off.
If i hover over the speaker bottom right it says no audio device is installed, but if i click volume control options, i get this photo.
Should i untick one of the boxes in the photo.

I think you will need a 64-bit driver for the sound.

CC thanks for the reply, surely thats included in the 7 re-boot.
-
What is "7 re-boot"?
-
I think he means he reinstalled windows 7?
If that's the case then you need the audio driver.
Go to your pc manufacturer's website for this.

Then ALL drivers need to be re-installed Harry...
P.S. If it's the same version of Windows that shipped with the PC you can safely use the Driver CD that came with it...
MBoard Chipset drivers go 1st...
Let us know if you need further assistance.
