Title: my sound appears to be workin

i can see my players etc are working, but no suond is comin out, i checked my speakers and they're plugged in fine, i checked the sound icon in the bottom right hand corner and its fine too.

Have you tried another set of speakers ? ?
Is the mute button checked in the sound volume bar ? ?
Make sure the speakers are in the correct jack, there are usually 3 of these on the back of the sound card.
