Is anyone using a wireless keyboard with Ubuntu, and do you have ideas where we might find them?

No, I have given up on wireless keyboard and mice.
But you did search for it?
Did you spot this article on Build PCs?

The 12 04 LTS was just released last month. Personally, I prefer the LTS (Long-Term Support) I don't like doing betas of Linux, I just am not that into it. With LTS you can get updates and fixes without doing a total install. So they say.
