Title: Pc can not boot without a cd

I recently installed but my laptop can't boot without the installation CD even after changing the boot menu to hard drive en the rare thing is that no error message is seen.

Need more info, such as was this laptop running but just corrupt before the recent install, or was the laptop non bootable prior to the attempted installation of the OS? Was the hard drive replaced? What is the make/model of the laptop?
