Well, he says  he is a beginner e d has XP.
Is that a paradox?
That message comes from  a hard drive that does not do the boot  sequence.
The OP may wish to  read this. He must have the XP CD to get to the recovery console.

Odd, but I have had to do that a number of times. Strange. Most often I had to use the two commands
FIXMBR
FIXBOOT

Being a beginner is fine...we've all been there.

Right.
The OP could have said:
A. It is a laptop, not a desktop.
B. He was trying to boot from USB. *
C. It is not his computer.

On something to narrow down the possibilities.

* Ffor testing purpose, a USB flash can be used to boot a computer when the hard drive does not work right.
