My co-worker has a messed up keyboard. I know that this is probably an easy one but I can't find anything on the internet for it. She can't type numbers across the top row of numbers the Alternates come up and the caps lock is off. The number pad does not work at all. Help!!

Which operating system is this person using? Has this person scanned for viruses and Spyware? Has this person made any changes to thier system recently? Any changes made just before this happened? When did this start? If you use another keyboard, do you still have the same issue?

have you tried plugging in another keyboard to see if the problem is with this keyboard or with Windows? That seems a logical place to start. Did this happen suddenly? What happened prior to this?

The system is operating on Windows XP Professional. I tried another keyboard with no change. It seems as though the caps lock is locked on but it is not on.

You might want to do a google search. Do you think the concept of "sticky keys" applies?

Update. Problem Fixed. I shut down the computer and restarted it. Keyboard is back to normal. Don't know what caused the problem though, as long as it works I'm happy. Thanks All.
