Title: RAM - DDR400
Post by: Joey B on October 17, 2005, 03:47:42 AM
I HAVE AN ASROCK K7S8X MOTHERBOARD.

3 X DIMM SLOTS

HOWEVER IT SAYS IN THE MANUAL,

PC2700 (DDR333) for 2 DDR DIMM SLOTS, MAX 2GB

PC3200 (DDR400) FOR 1 DDR DIMM SLOT, MAX 1GB

IF I WANT TO USE DDR400 DOES THIS MEAN 1GB PER SLOT, OR 1 GB IN TOTAL???

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME...

Hi Joey

from what you write there it says 1GB max. I assume that's maximum of 1GB for the DDR400.

Just check that you don't have designated DIMM slots for the different speeds of memory. Sometimes they have to be adjacent, sometimes consecutive slots.
