I just recently, went from a wired Nic to a Wireless Nic in my machine I built that I use for virtually everything. The driivers are installed fine an the card works an can connect to the AP. However, when I open a browser an try to go to a page I can't bring up anything. However, it will retrieve the windows updates an such. It doesn't really show the signal in the windows wireless program.

What is the AP ? ?
Which version of Windows is this ? ?
Did you set it up via Wireless Network Connection Wizard in Control Panel ? ?
And lastly is this PCI wireless card from the junkpile...or is it New ? ?
-
It's an Apple Iphone 4S
Xp an 7
No, I ran the driver off the disk an seemed to set it up useing it own software
-
You need to set it up via Control Panel in both XP and 7...
The Driver software does not do this for you.
The phone connecting means the phone can pick up the router's signal...nothing more.
-
How do I do that? It doesnt show the signals in XP useing the windows signal indicator
-
See Here...3 Methods. (http://www.wikihow.com/Set-up-a-Wireless-Network-in-Windows-XP)
-
How does that help me? I still have no clue what to do with getting it to see the AP
-
Probably because your initial Post was unclear on what you are attempting to do.
And don't call it an AP...it's a phone.
Start again with a clear goal of what you want to do.
-
I figured out now how to get windows to see my signals instead of the software included. I am trying to connect to the AP useing windows xp an 7 which, is only permitting updates an not allowing me to surf onlien
-
Well you insisted on calling it an AP so i think i'll pass on this one.
That and your goals still are unclear.
-
Cause, that is what it is. It's very clear as to what I am trying to do :/

You know what? When you piss of patio you're way over the line. Locked.
