Hi,

Can anyone suggest me any tool to monitor the linux desktops on the monitor.


Like from NAGIOS we monitor servers, something like this i need to configure for desktop level also.

any idea??

To what extent do you need monitoring? What key features do you need to monitor?

Very basic..

uptime, ping status, last logged in....

Free Network inventory software

These are network tools and can audit whatever is on he network. The run on Linux  host machines and in some cases have Windows versions.
