Title: Proxy Server Refused Connection

i can use skype.   But i have no access to the internet with my browser
.   i keep getting a message that says  "  Proxy Server Refused Connection"
can someone help me with this problem?     thanks very much

But you need to give more details.
You are using Windows 7 - Ia that right?
You have been using Skype before this?
Is this  a new laptop computer?

i'm using a dell desktop.  all  the shortcuts on mu taskbar disappeared.  i can only use skype for texting but when i try to access the internet i get the proxy sever refused the connection.  the browser doesn't work.   AT&T couldn't fix it and referred me to a specialist to charge me to fix it for  $15 a month.  i dunno maybe a nondestructive reinstsall

Did you check or remove proxy settings by Internet Options?

I've never heard of AT&T referring outside people.....what exactly did he do ? ?

Please download MiniToolBox (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/farbar/MiniToolBox.exe) to Desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following boxes:

  • Flush DNS
  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Reset IE Proxy Settings
  • List content of Hosts
  • List IP Configuration
  • Lst Last 10 Event Viewer Errors
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory Size
  • [/b]
Click Go and copy/paste the log (Result.txt) into your next post.
