I have been successfully using GMX for a long time. However, today when
I logged in the message "Server not found" . This has occurred repeatedly on this desk top computer when using Firefox or IE as the browser. It also occurred on a lap top computer

The server is down...

It is still down after over 12 hours. Does it means that I have to wait patiently for access to emails in my inbox?
-
Their Main Page with the contact info seems to be working now...i'd use that and send them an e-mail...

I was able to access GMX through the proxy so filled in the contact information. But when I then clicked it away the "Server not found" message came up so it appears I did not get through.

Check with twitter or Facebook and see what is going on.

Some internet providers (ISP) currently experience external attacks on their Domain Name Systems. This leads to issues in resolving domains (such as GMX) to an IP address of the appropriate server. That is the cause of the connection issues to our GMX homepage. Most providers have already taken measures against the attacks. We kindly ask you to contact your ISP if you continue to experience difficulties accessing GMX. We thank you for your cooperation.

We have been in contact with our ISP and they solved the problem after many complex activities. They said the fault was with GMX. An email sent to my GMX inbox two days ago is not there so I do not know what failed to make my inbox between 6 and 11 Dec. Thanks for the reference that led to us contacting our ISP.
