Post by: Computer tech on May 20, 2015, 01:12:28 AM
Hello,
Initial issue:
The computer have no signal in monitor after i swap the ram and replace it it would be ok now..
Now:
whenever i open the computer it shows Duplicate name exists on the network and i have to press ok that is not a big issue.. now the desktop icons disappear and when i use explorer.exe still no output..
my friends told it is virus issue.
Note: i use internet on my pc. and there is no anti virus because it is company pc..
Do i need to reformat the pc?
Thanks..

Is there another computer on the network running at the same time with the same name? Do you have any virtual machines running that are using same name?

This generally doesnt happen unless there is some other device on the same domain with the same name.

If it is a company PC I suggest you check with your company system admin.

From our Forum Guidelines :

If this is a machine at your place of Business, we need to be informed beforehand.  This is also not negotiable and we will not be responsible should you fail to do so.
