Hi there,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this...
Every now and then my computer restarts its self and then whilst it goes through the bios this error appears see attachment.
Anyone knows what it means and how It can be fixed. I have been thinking its the PSU or RAM on he computer.
The computer has also had a 0cx000021a blue screen in the pass also.
Looking at the event viewer log there is an DistributedCOM 10016 error at the time it happened.
Any ideas what it could be?

Laptop or desktop ? ?
You may want to replace the CMOS battery.....Part #CR2032....available anywhere...
-
It is a desktop.
Hm okay, wouldn't have thought it was the battery. What made you think it could be that?
-
The boot option error...
-
Right interesting, I will get one and see.
It restarts when the computer is doing a lot of work (rendering).
What gave it away that it is defiantly the battery that's what interests me.
-
You will know right away...
-
I don't know
-
I am still having the same problem :/ after putting a new battery in.
-
Is the bios boot error gone ? ?
-
its still there - nothing has changed
-
Not sure if it is the bios boot new battery is in place.
However this blues screen has now come up saying Unexpected_Store_Exception
-
1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)? The errors you are getting are rarely spontaneous - they are typically caused by a recent change of some sort.
2) Do you have either a disc image or a restore point from before the errors began to which you can return?
3) Have you tried safe mode? If not, please try it and see if the bsod's occur while running in ssafe mode.

I think it might be the RAM or Disk the computer had a Critical Process Died error now
-
Was this a Company PC ? ?
I just re-visited your screenshot and it looks like it may be attempting to boot to a network...
That can also be turned off in the BIOS...
-
Yeah it is a company PC. I'm having trouble troubleshooting it.
-
1st things 1st then....In BIOS dis-able the option to boot to LAN/network...let's see what happens.
-
Ah okay, but then we wont be able to connect to the LAN... which we need too
-
What LAN ? ?
-
"In BIOS dis-able the option to boot to LAN/network...let's see what happens."
Will disconnect connection to our network?
-
No.
