Protect your Google Account by reviewing your account settings. Safer Internet Day 2016 Security Checkup (https://security.google.com/settings/intro/security/secureaccount)
-
Did it but no mention of 2GB additional drive space.
-
After clicking 'Done' at the bottom of the page it should say:
To help celebrate Safer Internet Day 2016 (https://www.saferinternetday.org/), we added 2 GB of free Drive storage (https://www.google.com/settings/storage) to your Google account because you completed the Security Checkup.
You can go through the steps again and it will have the same message at the end.

The 1st time thru, no message and no additional storage. 2nd time thru I got the message and my account was bumped from 15 to 17GB. Tried a 3rd time and got the message but no additional storage.

That's odd. At least it worked the second time. I have 3 Google accounts and it worked for all 3.
