Title: computer cant open OS restore Image

A few days ago my windows 98SE horribly crashed and destroyed hard drive. I changed the hard drive with a Quantum BigFoot. Everything works but when I put the windows restoration CD it starts the program but when its about to start a message box appears and it says "Image file could not be opened" so now im stuck without a computer >:(. What should I do? ??? anything will help.

Did you format the hard drive before using it?

you could try this not sure itf it will work load the boot floppy in and use the command a:\sys c: then re-boot and then place your r/c disk in...more info>http://techrepublic.com.com/5100-6313-5035252.html

I believe Dummy2k once recommended to use /Fdisk.
