Title: How to remove the fan on this graphic card?
Post by: ali20142014 on February 23, 2016, 11:07:40 PM
Hi, there is a graphic card I own, G310, an old one. I want to remove the fan but I do not know how. Look the screenshots below.

You will notice there are two pushpin (I think). They are not screws. When I push on them, nothing happen. How to remove them?

Squeeze the tip of push pins with needle nose pliers and it will make the tip to same diameter of shaft. They will then move freely out of the board. Go slow and be sure not to scratch the board or bend the board if they are compressed at tips it should slide easy to pop black plastic heatsink locking pins off the board. If heatsink doesnt just pop off twist the heatsink clockwise and counter clockwise to break the bond between heatsink and GPU. Do not pry or pull off as for you can damage the GPU pulling its small soldered legs/pads off the board if pried etc.
