Title: putting recycle bin on desktop
Post by: Little Marine on March 26, 2016, 06:49:40 PM
I went to desktop settings. The recycle bin icon is checked but I don't see it on my desktop. How do I get it on my desktop? I did a search but it told me to go to desktop settings.

Have you tested to see if its off the page.... right-click on the desktop and set the icons to align to bring them all grouped tight together. In some rare situations I have seen them get orphaned into the nether off the desktop. And doing this brings icons back to desktop that should be there.

I realized my desktop is a list in the lower right corner of the task bar close to where the time is.

I realized my desktop is a list in the lower right corner of the task bar close to where the time is.

The Desktop is effectively where you see your background wallpaper. If you press the Windows Key+D, all your windows will be minimized and you will be at the desktop. The setting described in Patio's link should determine whether a Recycle Bin icon appears there.
