I go to the above but I do not have a registry item it mentions. I have a 16 GB flash drive and cannot copy to it. Any suggestions? Thank you. Anna Ruth

I've never heard of such a thing. Can you look at the contents of the flash drive? What method are you using to copy the files to your flash drive?
-
Is it just happening on the one system or on other ones?
You may also want to see if there is software on the flash drive that may be activated could be causing this. Have you scanned it for suspicious software?
-
Some flash drives also have a small micro switch on them to write protect...what Brand is it ?

From the looks of it it is the Flash Drive used to distribute a copy of Windows. As far as I'm aware those are the only flash drives that would feature the Microsoft branding.
They are all write-protected and the write-protect cannot be disabled.
