Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

That's fine - you can copy all of it and paste only the 10 most recent - or all if you like, I can edit it. But the format was not readable. Please follow the instructions.

You are not posting the correct data and it's very difficult to work with what you posted.

Let's go through some basic stuff:

1) Does the system reboot at random or are you doing something in specific when it happens?

2) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

3) Look in Device Manager - are there any yellow or red symbols?

4) Please check the ram: download memtest (http://memtest.org/ (http://memtest.org/)). Burn it to a cd using a dedicated .iso burning utility (http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm (http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm)), make sure the cd drive is at the top of the boot order in bios, then boot to the newly created cd and run the utility.

5) Please download and run the diagnostic utility from the manufacturer of your hard drive

6) When was the last time you opened the case and blew out the dust?

7) Have you run full scans with BOTH your installed AV and with MalwareBytes? If not, please do so.

Not sure what info you are seeking?I`ll try finding it again.
Recently we blew all the dust out and cleaned the machine.
Virus scan recently ran no viruses found.
The crashes occur at random.
opera developer edition browser may or may not have been installed since the machine started crashing

Maybe this is what you are wanting to look at?

I think I found out what the problem is.This machine had single core processor in it and was upgraded to a dual core 2.4ghz processor without upgrading the heat sink. There was enough heat coming out of the back to fry and egg.So for now I have an extra external large fan to keep the machine cool.Im going to change heat sinks and if I still have problems report back.

Tonight I took and redid the paste on the heat sink to see if I had too much on.I spread it on very thin like just the size of BB or little bigger.Turn the machine on and let it run for a while.within minutes it started getting very warm.Running at 120* Before hand it was very hot so Im pretty sure its not getting enough cooling and another heat sink will fix the problem.I have question what is normal temp for older model dual core Atllon processors? Also using speed fan can I adjust the fan speed on the heat sink for additional cooling?

Hi again group on this Dell Inspiron since I upgraded the processor to dual core its getting very hot.I checked the amount of paste to make sure I didnt have too much.I want to up grade heat sinks what would be compatible for this machine.Thanks.
