I have 350 GB of my personal photos saved in my laptop. And this size increases by 10 GB at least every month.
(Earlier once I lost all my data saved in external hard disk :-[ . I can't take the same risk again. )
Now I purchased 1 TB of external hard disk. And I want to keep the backup.
Can someone suggest me the best way to keep the backup and keep syncing them every month?
I searched over internet and ended up with lot of confusions ::) ??? ??? ::) .

Have you not contradicted yourself? You once lost all your data that you had saved on an external hard desk. And, now, you bought another external hard desk. So, aren't you taking the same risk again, even though that risk is much lower than just storing all your photos on an internal disk?

Earlier I had all my photos in only external disk. Now i have them in my laptop and i bought external harddisk for backup purpose.
Keeping it a side, what do you think the best way to keep my data safe. Excluding cloud data.

Well, given the very large amount of data you're working with, I'm inclined to think multiple external hard drives might be prudent and keeping one of those drives located somewhere off premises so that your data is protected in case of fire, theft, etc. You would need to rotate hard drives, alternating the one(s) kept at a different location.

I agree with Soybean.
The only piratical way of keep a huge amount of data is with hard drives.
Some have used optical discs, but this means the quickness is not possible.

At the present time , cloud storage is the what many use. You can combine a NAS device with a cloud service and synchronize all or part of the data.
