Title: Desktop icon retrieval in Windows 10

My desktop icon for THIS PC has vanished and, if I retrieve it, the RECYCLE BIN icon vanishes, and vice-versa.

Please help, am at my wits' end after innumerable useless trials.

Do you have other shortcut icons on your desktop?
