Title: NEC Multisync XM29Xtra (XM2961)

 I Cannot find the SE or XP driver for this 29",  26" viewable monitor made in about 1998 on the NEC site or anywhere else for that matter.

That monitor came out in '99. You do not need a driver for it as it is plug and play. It should have on screen management accessed from the buttons on the front. It has 4 or 5 different inputs, so make sure you are properly connected. It was designed to be a presentation monitor with its best image at 1024x768 resolution.

you should contact NEC technical support to see if they can supply you with monitor drivers.

Plug and Play does not always work as efficient, once I installed my monitor drivers Windows allowed me to select 85Hz rather than 75Hz about which it first said was 'incapable' of doing.
