I CAN PLAY C.D'S OR DVD'S AND HEAR AUDIO ,BUT THERE ARE NO WINDOWS SOUNDS . WHEN I TRY TO PLAY A WINDOW SOUND , I GET AN ERROR STATING THAT MY SOUND CARD MAY BE IN USE . BY WHAT ??? PLEASE HELP . TECH. SUPPORT AT GATEWAY HAS UNSUCESSFULY TRIED TO HELP ME .

Reinstall Audio Drivers?

the audio driver should be on your disks if yoy have any or type dxdiag in the run box this will tell you your audio hardware..or msinfo32 in the run run and clickt the + sign for audio...it will also show drivers that you have etc
