Title: Direct 3D Video card

I have Windows XP and cannot get games to play.  Each game we buy states it is compatibale but it never works.  Several of these games make reference to Direct 3D video cards and I have no idea how to find out if I have this.  Could someone please HELP !!!!!

type dxdiag in the run box it will tell you what video adapter or card you have...more info on grphics here>http://www.computerhope.com/help/video.htm

What is the brand and manufacturer of your videocard?

I typed Dxdiag in the RUN box and it shows I have DirectX 8.1 and in another window, I have the option to test DirectDraw Acceleration but not Direct3D.  I guess this means I don't have it????
