Title: How can I recover an unsaved file in Microsoft Excel for Mac 2011?
Post by: yut.sin1301 on February 01, 2018, 08:08:50 AM
Hi there, My name is Jeen ....SPAM link removed...
How can I recover an unsaved file in Microsoft Excel for Mac 2011?
I have been directed to this: Finder > /Users/ username/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/Office X AutoRecovery  ...but can't find the users folder in my finder.  I don't seem to have that option
I also can't find the option in excel to 'Recover Unsaved Workbooks'

Thank you for your help, I"m quite desperate to find this autosaved file

Sometimes you can get it from the temp directory/file. But only if it was the last thing worked on with excel as for its overwritten each time a new excel project/document is opened. If you opened other excel files even launching excel and creating a new excel file since this, then its likely gone.
