Hi,
I'm suddenly having a problem with cursor moves used with the CONTROL key. They're just not working. This is happening across a number of different programs. In one program (SmartListsToGo) CONTROL-tab should move the cursor right 5 spaces. CONTROL-Home should move cursor up to top of page. Not happening. In OpenOffice, CONTOL-arrow should move the cursor from word to word. I'm sure you get the idea. Other cursor moves are working correctly.
This started suddenly. I ran tweating.com Windows Repair. That seems to run okay and has fixed problems in the past, but this time, no difference.
Have no idea where to look to fix this.
Any thoughts?

Have you eliminated keyboard hardware issues? Does it happen on second Ctrl key if present?
-
Yes, it happens with both CONTROL keys.
-
Have you tried a different keyboard?
-
in case it's a registry glitch, try Restore Points and go back to a point in the past when the Ctrl key was working for you.

I ran tweating.com Windows Repair.
Could be the issue right there...

Thanks for the suggestions.
I don't understand why, but the problem just fixed itself. I didn't do anything, not even a reboot (I had already tried that to see if the problem would clear. It didn't.)
