hello family,
HELP !!!
this morning i c/p from a site i've used often to my email. it worked.
later, this afternoon i c/p a link from a separate site to my email.
when i clicked paste to my email i got the same image from this morning. i tried it a number of times
but pasted the same image as this morning.
how do i DELETE this image in "paste" ???
thank you.

to quote The IT Crowd... "have you tried turning it off and on again?"

The other thing I have seen before is closing the browser and starting the browser back up without having to do a complete reboot. If you visit any websites with copy/paste restrictions on them to protect their images from being grabbed it can disable this across your browser for other sites as well until browser is closed and reopened.

hello mark,
yes, i did that. no go..
thank you.

hello dave,
i realise this, but i have c/p from that particular site for years.
now i have no "paste" at all...

Just came across this information and you might want to give it a try to see it helps you with your issue:
Create a shortcut that empties the Clipboard
The fastest way to erase the contents of the Clipboard is to copy anything else, even a blank space. But you can also create a shortcut that empties the Clipboard automatically. In Vista and Windows 7, right-click the desktop or any convenient folder and choose New > Shortcut. Type the following command in the shortcut location box:
cmd /c "echo off | clip"
Click Next, give the shortcut a name, and click Finish. Now right-click the shortcut, choose Properties, assign a keystroke combination to the shortcut (if you wish), choose Minimized in the Run drop-down menu, and click OK.

hello gang,
2x3i5x - good site for that problem. thank you.
PATIO - hmm. nope, it was the "mouse". exchanged that mousee for another and now i can paste ! thank you.
-
The easiest way to copy and paste is CTRL-C to copy and CTRL-V to paste. It always works.

By "digits", do you mean your fingers, or what?

Never used the Ctrl key before ever, even to cut and paste? Highlight the thing you want to copy, press ctrl and then the C key to initiate the copy function, repeat with ctrl and v keys to do the paste function? :o
And nah, keyboards rarely care where you position your fingers as long as you hit the right key(s) you want I suppose. :P

hello all,
ALLAN - as always, many thanks !
SOYBEAN - digits-appendages of the hand. yes, i'm slow. i need step-by-step instructions. thank you.
i found the answer (AFTER purchasing a new mouse). someone told me it was the mouse after i showed him the problem.
my browser has a drop down (which i did NOT check..) with a copy/paste option which works beautifully !
thank you to all.

No need to use a drop down...once you get used to your "digits" it'll work in any app...
