Jiust another "innovation" to make you buy more hardware and programs again. What are you not able to do today that you need Vista for? (Other than it's kewl and new?) More fluff, no stuff.

I'm glad they made it Vista.... Personally I thought that Longhorn sounded just a bit retarded...

Well, I never said I would get it. I want to wait and see what the end product looks like. If it has valuable changes, I'll get it. If not, then I'll stick with XP. I just wanted to share the fact that they are making it. That makes me think of a quick question: Why was 98 so much better than 95? Oh, sure, it had more fluff than 95, but if you didn't have any problems with 95, then 98 was just "kewl and new", right? Anyway, you may be right. We'll see how it turns out.  :)

A new OS eh? I will  probablly be one of the few last people who will buy the OS and find out a few months later they are launching a new OS..... It is true When I first got my Windows 98 computer Windows ME was going to come out in like 6 months... Thankyou for not having Windows ME on the computer.... Then when I decided to get 2000... a year later XP comes out... no big deal I'll just wait untill XP passes then I'll get the newer OS... Then I misplace all my OS CD's! What are the chances. I had to go out and buy XP and when I finally did Microsoft annoce its release of Windows Vista next year.... Oh I give up... Maybe I should do what I should of done for a long time ago..... Stick with Linux?...... Lucky for me I have Windows 98 and I am going to install and get the experience to use Linux... that way if a newer OS comes out...... Uhh.. I have to think about that....

it will cost way too much money to get.

They always do you are cheaper selling your old PC and then buying a new one with VISTA installed on it. Not only do you get the new OS but also the computer's Specs will of been upgraded.

Linux doesn't frighten me, but I've had few problems with Windows itself. Weeell, ME would be the exception. But no BSOD on XP, I'm happy to say. The way I see it, if I have a pound of gold, why should I trade it with a person who says he may or may not have a pound of diamonds in it? I'm safer sticking with what works.

Linux will make its jump eventually, they are starting to spread to more users, it may just sky-rocket. You will never know.

Personally, I think that the crack penguin is intimidating.

Yep, you'll be completely free. I.E. you won't cost anything because you won't be worth anything.

Time for another glass of water.  :-X
