Title: Remote desktop via Hotspot, and no internet access
Post by: jhjorsal on April 19, 2019, 06:41:14 AM
Sitting and playing with the ability to create a Remote desktop of my Win 10 PC on my iPad over the hotspot. I have installed a VNC server on the PC and a VNC Viewer on the Ipad, put hotspot on and then connected the ipad` to the PC`s hotspot. And it seems to work fine, I can easily control my PC from my Ipad. But when I then remove the network connection to my PC, my VNC connection stops working, even though the Ipad still has connection to the PC via the hotspot. It seems that VNC can't work if it doesn't have the internet, any suggestions to work this out ?

Try stopping and starting the VNC Service on the Ipad first and see if this fixes it. If you dont know how to do it on the Ipad just shutdown the IPad and start it back up fresh and see if you can then connect to the PC.

If the problem remains, then try the same on the PC either restart the VNC service or perform a system reboot and see if that fixes it.

Whichever system that has its VNC service restarted that fixes the issue would be the culprit of which system is in a hung state after session ended.

Nothing of that work out for me, so I install The apps Remote desktop on my Ipad, and allowed Remote desktop on my pc, now it works 😃
