Title: Trying to Disable Cortana from Windows 10, but appearing again on restart.
Post by: bkdroid13 on July 04, 2019, 03:26:09 AM
Hello, I am trying hard to disable cortana in my Windows 10 system.

So far I followed some steps in regedit and set a flag to 0.
Source: https://www.hows.tech/2019/04/disable-cortana-in-windows-10.html (https://www.hows.tech/2019/04/disable-cortana-in-windows-10.html)

Steps I performed-
1. Created a new AllowCortana key
2. Chosen DWORD 32 option
3. Set Value to 0

But it is still showing up the cortana. Cortana search box is disappeared but when I open start menu then the Cortana Search appears.

I am not sure which of these DWORD 32 and DWORD 64 shall I use for "AllowCortana" key.
Please help.

Just so you know you have to reboot for registry changes to take effect,,,
