Title: One of My Chrome Extensions is Infected? It Won't Go Away

Good day

I recently ran a scan with the latest ADWCleaner and it detected a PUP. I quarantined it. Upon restarting as directed by the program, I viewed the log. It shows that my Chrome extension 'Google Translate' was infected and deleted. Just to be sure, I ran ADWCleaner again and it was back. I don't know how to get rid of it for good. I believe that it's messing up my video quality and play in Youtube. I have included the ADWCleaner log. I use Windows 10.

Hello and welcome to Computer Hope Forum. My name is Dave. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer.

1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.

6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

If you can't access the internet with your infected computer you will have to download and transfer any programs to the computer you're using now and transfer them to the infected computer with a CD-RW or a USB storage device. I prefer a CD because a storage device can get infected. If you use a storage device hold the shift key down while inserting the USB storage device for about 10 secs. You will also have to transfer the logs you receive back to the good computer using the same method until we can get the computer back on-line.

* A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt

Note: If a security program requests permission from dig.exe to access the Internet, allow it to do so.

Good to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to help me.

To save you time here, I'll explain the tasks I performed while waiting for a possible reply here. In the ADWCleaner log it mentioned my 'Google Translate' extension was cleaned. When I restarted again, the 'Google Translate' icon returned. I then went to my extensions and manually removed it. After doing so, I ran ADWCleaner once more. There were no detections except for pre-installed
software. As it happens, I have MBAM Premium installed, but there are two problems that seem to arise.

1. My Chrome refresh doesn't work at all.

2. My Youtube video and sound quality aren't good at all. To listen them I use my Bose wireless headphones. The video sound and quality on my previous computer was fine. I tried basic troubleshooting steps but with no luck.

Please let me know what you want me to do next. I just felt that I should tell you all that I can to help.

I would suggest that you uninstall and re-install Chrome.
