For the operating system, or all the hardware upgrades to even run it?

Wow so all I have to do is install more RAM, and maybe swap a video card if I think it's too slow... I meet the requirements as of now  ;D

I'm upgrading soon to a level which run Vista but I have no intention of getting it.
Does anyone know why we need it I wonder?

I thought Longhorn was a bad name... Especially for an OS. Vista at least sounds generic lol
