Title: Hyper Terminal

Could someone please explain what a hyper terminal is and how it works and what it does?
It looks like a program meant for sharing files, sending text, and that kind of stuff.

If I dial a number, does the other computer need to be waiting for the call?
Is the call free?

OK,
So its basically a program that allows you to call a computer, and send and receive. Like a bulletin board for The Sims 2. (well, almost)

I think I might have to give that a try. My cousin does not have a 100% functional internet at this time. This could be useful.
