Title: Possible virus

Wife was on her W10 laptop and a message came up "critical alert" call windows support at !888 984 7576. I turned off the computer for a couple of minutes thinking the message would be gone, not so, same message came back. Where do I go from here?

It's a BS scam alert...run your protection scans...BTW which ones do you have ? ?

Do you mean like MalwareBytes? I finally just shut it down and when I booted up again it was gone. Should I do anything further?
