Title: Hp officejet pro 6978 not printing. It keeps showing "Driver Unavaliable"
Post by: jloope on March 27, 2021, 11:22:38 AM
Good Afternoon all,

I am new to this board and am needing help on this topic. I have a an HP Officejet Pro 6978 printer and it is not printing. It keeps telling me driver unavaliable. I have it connected as a wireless connection and my OS is Windows 10.. I have tried everything from downloading new drivers from hp website, reinstalling the printer, and nothing is working. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have set up various Wi-Fi printers, they are all a bit quirky connecting up. I have found most of them prefer either using the controls on the printer to connect, or to completely uninstall the software in windows and run through the setup process again.

I have found a link to the manual for your printer: In Chapter 8, Page 90 are the wireless setup instructions using the front panel, and other things to watch out for, testing Wi-Fi etc

Get software and drivers here:   Install HP Smart to run through the setup process
