Title: replacing MotherBoard
Post by: antalves on March 23, 2006, 12:33:07 PM
I intend to replace my mother board for another, other brand, other processor. Old things remain: diskette driver, CDROM, HD, etc.  The question is: will programs and/or settings and other informations stored at HD keep problably working the same way, without need for re-installations?

It is highly unlikely that your system will even boot after such major surgery, never mind run flawlessly.  A full reinstall will almost certainly be necessary.
