Title: net lod on noise
Post by: tommy12345666 on August 29, 2004, 02:41:14 PM
Can anyone tell me how to mute the noises made by the speaker inside my tower every time I logg on to the net.  I have a fair aged Tiny PC operating win 98.  Would appreciate any help to silence this infernal screeching.

Thanks folks,  I have tried the control panel, modems route and even though it indicates the sound is off the internal speaker still screeches.  Any other suggestions short of tapping it with a hammer?

Are you certain it is the PC speaker and not a fan that needs replacing or perhaps a harddrive that attempts to read?
