when my computer starts, it says that there is no access to the hard drive! what could the problem be.
-
What is the exact error message? It could be that the hard drive has died. More info will determine that. Can you see the hard drive in the BIOS? (Usually F10 at startup.)
-
it says "unable to access hard drive" computer sounds like it is hanging at that step......
-
If you have a computer with a CD burner, I would suggest downloading a Linux LiveCD and booting with that to see if the problem is Windows or the computer. I fear it will be the computer.

OK, I WILL TRY THAT, THANKS......AND I WILL GET BACK TO YOU AND LET YOU KNOW THE RESULTS. THIS MORNING, IT MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE LOG ON TO WIDOWS PAGE, THEN FROZE UP.
