Title: MIDI voices on Chip on Sound Card
Post by: The_Organist on May 31, 2006, 11:45:50 AM
Hello.
Can anyone advise if there is any way to take the General MIDI voices from the chip on a sound card and load them into another computer?
I have a sound card that is no longer manufactured (from 1990s) and the General MIDI voices on its chip are far superior to those on the sound cards in my newer computers.  Is there any way to "save" or "dump" or "retrieve" the voices from a sound card and, for example, save them as wave files, or some type of files that can be used?
Thanks.
