Title: Rescue My Documents from Corrupt Windows XP
Post by: Moonstruck0 on June 11, 2006, 07:02:14 PM
Windows XP on my computer recently became corrupt and would not boot up, after numerous attempts to fix the problem, I ended up installing windows xp professional onto one of my other drives in an attempt to rescue all the files I can before reformatting everything. I am able to access all of my files expect for what is under the documents and settings folder (My documents and My Pictures are of most importance).

It would be a huge help if someone could point me in the right direction on how to salvage these files.

Let me know what information you need to know about my system to better help me out.

Thanks

Have a read here:

Hopefully you didn't encrypt them or anything silly like that.
