You might want to use google or your public library to start. It is unrealistic to expect someone to lead you by the hand through such serious study.  ::)

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.  Have you any idea how many different programming languages there are?!

Also, I'm presuming you won't want to pay my normal £350/day consultancy rates for this personal tuition?   ::)

Oh c'mon Specialist - you cover VB, Delphi and QBasic, I'll cover Assembler, Cobol (D, F and ANSI) and HTML.  Between us we  might satisfy the requirement ::)  You can go first :D

ROFLMAO ;D

Screen.print - is this (http://community.livejournal.com/craftgrrl/3674467.html) it :-?

All programming is a bit of a cow.  Note the minimum requirements, and no mention of a good compiler:

"a t-shirt, yucky/cheap paint brushes, an embroidery hoop, screen printing ink (I use Speedball brand), a glue that isn't water-soluble (I use Modge Podge), curtain sheer material/tulle/old nylons, and a computer with a printer (or a good hand for drawing things)."

LOLs

Before you pick a language, it is good to decide what you want to do with it.

Simple effects with web pages?  Javascript.

Dynamic web pages?  PHP or Perl.

Program-style web pages?  Java.

Wndows applications?  One of MS's Visual languages, or Delphi or something like that.

Generally efficient programs?  C.

Generally efficient programs with OO?  C++.

.NET programs?  VB.NET, C#, etc.

You forgot game programming:
Flash Action script
C & C++
Java
and more but these are the common language for game programming.

And robpomeroy i dont know every single computer language but i tend to have 80 O'Reilly Books (TCP-IP, Unix, Web, Perl, Java, Oracle, xml, etc) I can give you those book if anybody wants it.

Anyway really i support xhtml, css, VB script, action script, Java script but i am not really good at those i say i am only an Expert at xhtml, css and everybody is :'( :'(
