Title: check disk error on boot up
Post by: sborn4 on June 17, 2006, 01:07:03 PM
Everytime I turn the computer on it performs this check disk function.  It neer finds any problems and boots normally after checking, but it does this every single time.  How do I get it to stop?  Or fix whatever problem is causing it to want to check?

checking file on system c: the type of file system is NTFS one of your disks needs to be checked for consistency

Please help!

Try running Scandisk on all of your drives and see what turns up and if this stops it.

You didn't bother to list your Windows version, but let's assume XP:
