Title: is there such a thing as a processor bios?

Im looking for a new MB and ca,e across the BS P4TCA PRO but it says it only supporst a P4 with "Intel Pentium 4 Prescott (BIOS 1217 or later)" How do I know if I have this? I know i have a P4 3.2 1mb cash

It refers to the BIOS on the motherboard, which may need to updated with a download from the manufacturer's site. There is no BIOS on a processor.
What are the specs on the processor? A Prescott?

yes it is
