:-? I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, but here it is.
I have a Canon S400 printer. I replaced the black cartridge. Now the black isn't printing. I checked to nozzel and all the colors but black printed. Can any one help? THANKS1

what happens when you print a test page?
Did you replace the cartridge with another empty cartridge? :)

:-? It is a full cartridge - ink on my hands. When I go to Maintaince it has check nozzel and align cartridges. Align cartridges prints a totally blank page. No colored bars to align. I couldn't find printing a test page.

petemily..... Well , have you tried removing the problematic cartridge and reseating it ? .
Have you tried checking to be 100% sure you removed the tape covering the end of the cartridge ? You wouldn't be the first person to forget that ......

And also try running the cleaning cycle. It might be a blob of dried up ink that needs clearing.
