Title: Display memory problem. please help!

My son installed a game (Lord of the Rings - Battle for middle Earth).  It worked well for several days then he received a message stating something like....... please make sure you have directx 9.0 installed on your computer, you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the display controll panel, and make sure your video card meets the minimum requirements.  He made sure all these things were in order. He found out in the game/system overview/comparison the display memory needed to be 32 mb.  The memory card (GeForce FX 5500) has 128mb of memory.  But the overview/comparison states display memory 0.0mb Help! :-?

are you SURE the memory isn't bad?

How do I tell if the memory is bad?
