Title: Not a valid windows image

I keep on getting an error mesage saying
"soandso.tmp" is not a valid windows image
please check this against your windows installation diskette

any help or answers would be greatly appreciated,

what system is this happening to..>a valid image file maybe jpeg bmp gif....has this image been downloaded to a floppy disk... in which the file system is apple etc..
