Hi. Having a problem with IE - the "file" option in the top toolbar isn't there. I've got "edit," "view," "favorites," etc, but no "file." Anyone know what happened or how I can get it back?
Thanks in advance.

What malware protection is being used? What Windows version? What service pack? What preceeded this? Etc.?
See below.

It's running Windows XP Home edition, version 2002, service pack 2. The processor is an AMD athlon 64, with 2.08 GHz and 512 megs of ram and Norton Internet Security 2006.
I don't know when it happened, or what was going on before (it's my girlfriend's computer).
Hope this helps.

Can you do a system restore to a point before this started?
Also have a read here. Norton may not be enough.

This happened to my MS Excel before.
What I did to get it fixed is:
(In MS Excel) Tools -> Customize -> Toolbars -> Reset.
Maybe the same trick can fix it for IE.
